Petróleo Brasileiro, S.A. (Petrobras), awarded GE Oil & Gas a four-year service agreement to deliver repairs, maintenance and retrofits on Petrobras’ fleet of subsea equipment installed in the Campos Basin offshore Brazil. The scope of the agreement, valued at approximately $120 million, includes service and repairs on over 300 exploration and 250 production tools, as well as retrofitting six subsea production trees each year.
Energy XXI announced that the first of a six-well recompletion program at the South Pass 89 field has been successful. The A15 well is currently flowing 18 mmcf/d and 300 barrels of condensate per day. At the Grand Isle 16 field, the company perforated a prospective natural gas zone in the J21 well, which instead tested mostly oil at a rate of approximately 1,200 boe/d.
