GOM Operators Reboard Platforms After Tropical Storm Lee

Offshore operators in the Gulf of Mexico are reboarding platforms and rigs following Tropical Storm Lee, according to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement. Based on operator reports, personnel have been evacuated from 131 production platforms, 21% of the total 617 manned platforms, and 12 of 70 rigs (17%). About 60.5% of current oil production and 41.6% of the natural gas production has been shut-in. After facilities are inspected, production from undamaged facilities will be brought online immediately.
